The Return of Han Solo

Han Solo Encased in a Block of Carbonite.

From Episode 7 of Star Wars:   The Return of the Shut Eye

Damn shame!  This time around Harrison Ford didn't come through this nearly as well as he did when he was 38.

Wonder why ....

The above story and prompt that inspired it are my humble offerings in this week's Friday Fictioneers Holiday Extravaganza.

Try to have a Happy Thanksgiving, Harrison!

I didn't care a whole lot for Star Wars the first time around, and I like the Disney cartoons even less, Perry, so I don't suppose there's much hope for poor Hans.

Now that was flash-in-the-pan fiction! Will Billy Dee Williams join him in the sequel? They might make Yoda look young.

Well, I loved (love?) the original star wars series and the remake wasn't bad at all.
But poor Harrison! What's he gonna do?

:-) Gives the phrase "old stone face" (or metal, in this case) a whole new meaning. I did enjoy the original Star Wars and remember standing in a line in Steamboat Springs, Colorado to see it at the one theater.

Hope you had a restful Thanksgiving and aren't shopping 'til you're dropping today.

Hi Perry,
Just so you'll know, Callista Flockhart regularly beats up on Harrison with a hair brush but he's afraid to leave her because the force is with her. Ron

I wondered who was helping to develop the storylines Disney purchased recently ;-)

Darn, are you giving away the whole plot for the next 3 Star wars films...? Where's the suspense now?

Excellent, Perry... now I know what that pic made me think of, and couldn't place.

that's not 100 words.

The lightsaber shuffleboard match in the last chapter is said to be rousing!

Dear Perry,

Princess Leia's off cannodling with Luke and Chewbacca's getting his hair done. no hope for Hans the second time around.

I thought of the Carbonite route but couldn't get past that face. Good job.

Aloha,

Doug

I guess not when it comes to you, Madison.

I suppose you are always saying "Look, Ma, no Hans!" (Actually, it's Han.)

Thanks for writing.

They might make Yoda look young? They make ME look young!

Yoda is a Jedi; he can take care of himself.

Thanks for writing, Rochelle.

Harrison Ford will be playing Indiana Jones until he is older than the State of Indiana.

Which works for me. Thanks for the comment!

Looks like it's up to you and me. Let's get cracking!

I can't imagine Harrison could pull it off now! Harrison can have any movie role he wants now. This is quite funny.

I thought his hair looked bad in the carbonite!

At least he no longer has to worry about bruises elsewhere on his body.

Thanks, Ron ....

I think Harrison wants a movie role now that allows him to sit.

Thanks for writing!

I guess you could say I've grown accustomed to that face.

It's like breathing out and breathing in ...

Stop me before I sing again!

I'm like a public service about stuff like that.

No need to thank me!

Yeah,I'm in that holiday spirit and giving the gift of few words. Happy Thanksgiving!

Perry Block said...

Yes, that's where my hands usually are!

I'm usually dropping even without shopping. Thanks for writing, Janet!

Just making up for all the times you went over the limit, right Perry?

I tried to comment on Friday, but the darn thing froze up on me. Had some trouble today too. Hopefully, this one will post.

I think Hans is using one of those hover-chairs in the latest episode--especially now that he's on Medicare. It works well in the chase scenes, but I hear the female lead is not too crazy about the joy-stick.
