Get set, America, here comes:
It's the all new line of Chia Cars
and Trucks! You
loved Chia pets, now hop into your own personal:
Cars and Trucks
Just add water all around the vehicle, settle in behind the wheel,
and watch your car or truck become a lush green garden before your very eyes!
(Note: Some of the growth may be a bit spotty and unsightly. May
attract horribly disgusting insects. Vines have been known to penetrate motors
and shut cars down at 70 miles an hour. Also known to enter front seat and
strangle drivers.)
So, America, time to hit the road in the newest fun product from Chia:
Cars and Trucks
(Oh, and you will probaby lose precious coolness points too.)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Personally I've never owned me a Chia pet, but I couldn't help thinking of them when I saw the picture prompt above. I hope that doesn't mean I have latent desire to actually acquire one. I can't afford to lose the coolness points!
I am interested, however, in finding out what the other Friday Fictioneers saw in the prompt and I'll check that by clicking here. If any of them also saw Chia Cars and Trucks, well then, maybe I will look into getting one.
A Chia Pet, that is --- not the car! So I'll burn me a few coolness points.
Dear Perry, I have always wanted one of those and my nephew (Ann's son Scott) got one for Christmas (it was on his list). He is now a successful lawyer and really does have a clapper too. He is so darn funny. Great story! Nan
Never mind - you don't know who Ann is - she's my twin. Both her son's are smart but Scott has always tickeled my funny bone. The clapper was a hoot though! Funny! Nan again :)
Who said I don't know who Ann is? Ann and I go way back, and I know exactly what she feels about you. (don't worry, it's mostly positive.) As for Scott ... can I hire him to write this stupid blog? I'm draggin'!
Ah. I had to google that.. but yes I have had one of those I think... (hmm does that make me uncool)... a pig I think.. but it was never a great success...
But we were to use it with garden cress instead :-)
I want the Colorado version, Perry. It reminds me of the van in Cheech & Chong's first movie, Up in Smoke. I might even take it on a road trip to Pennsylvania.
I think this must be an exclusively American story because I am totally and completely lost!
>head hung low< I am a solid member of the uncool. I have a chia "scooby-do" does that make me partially exempt from scorn ? 3:-)
A Chia vehicle.
Golly Chia, what will they think up next?
A good laugh with this story.
Randy
Perry, I don't know what's happening, but this is my third try to leave a comment. Hilarious :) I was always curious about that chia ad but never bought one. I did look up "chia" to see what the heck it was. It was a great ad and probably made millions for the inventor(s). I'd be afraid if sufficient rain got on a chia car or truck, it would go wild and trap the driver. Well written as always. :) ---Susan
Ha ha! Of course, this is a chia truck!! Now I see it perfectly. Watch out for the viruses and insects. Creepy. I'm going to pass on the chia vehicle. You've got horror and humor in this one. Great story!
The note is the best part, but that could just be because I'm a deeply disturbed individual. haha
You seem to have an original take on this one, Perry. Do Chia pets get fleas?
A garden cress chia? o.O
That could be interesting!
Is it bad that I sang the jingle every time I read it?
Loved the humor :)
Dear Perry,
And now we're eating Chia seeds. Does this mean we'll all turn into Chia heads. Ch-ch-chilling. Ch-ch-chuckling. Unique take. I like.
shalom,
Rochelle
Chia Motors, hmm, sounds familiar. Nice take on the prompt.
Hilarious! Why didn’t I see that??
I hadn't heard of Chias, googled them and groaned. Your truck chia will definitely catch on, ... patent your idea before anybody else does! :)
Perry,
There is a REASON why I have you on my "Must Read" list every week. You keep me laughing. Love your humor and love your positive attitude on everything. You have a great outlook -- and are very entertaining.
Mike
I don't think I know what a garden cress is, guys, but I can tell you definitively that yes, that does make you uncool. Sorry ...
Keep it away from me, Russell! I'm desperately low on coolness points as it is!
Yes, you see a chia pet is ... forget it, you're way better off lost, I think.
No problem. The Scooby Do aspect makes all the difference!
Thanks, Randy! Let's sing it together: CH-CH-CH-CHIA!
Thanks, Susan. I'm sorry you're having such trouble leaving comments but I always appreciate them. Some day I may send you a Chia pet as a token of my thanks! CH-CH-CH-CHIA!
Many people think I have horror in all of them, Amy, especially if they've read them all the way through. And always remember Chias in the right side mirror are closer than they seem!
Only the mud running part. Otherwise, you're aces all the way!
Yes, they get chia fleas, each one in its own attractive little pot.
Bad. Very bad.
Like the ch-ch-chuckling! Thanks, Rochelle.
Chia Motors sounds great. Maybe I will get one, depending on cash back.
Why didn't you see that? You have taste and discretion maybe?
I've already got a factory lined up in Ireland.
Thanks, Mike. And I appreciate your mentioning my positive attitude and great outlook because I haven't had a temper tantrum in weeks!
